04 Mar Memory lane… back to my Kruger National Park trip, 4 March 2017
Today, 2 years ago, one of my big dreams came true… I went to the Kruger National Park.
It changed my life. It changed my take on Wildlife Photography.
I was there for a whole month. The diversity of wildlife in the Kruger National Park is spectacular. Each day I went on two Safari trips on my own. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Waking up at 04:30 am each day to get ready for a safari. The gates to the park open at 05:30am. I would go where all the wildlife roams freely. In the afternoons I went out at 15:00 until sunset. From the moment when I drove through the gates, I felt so amazed about the wildlife in the Kruger National Park. My first few nights were at the Crocodile bridge camp. My campsite a mere meter or two away of the park fence. My first campfire/ braai in the Kruger National Park was ‘one-of-a-kind’… While I was chilling at my campfire I heard many different wild animal noises. Hearing that while ‘chilling’ at your campfire is super amazing. As I traveled through the Kruger National Park the landscapes change quite a lot and I discovered different kinds of wildlife. Each photograph that I captured has its own story to tell. When I looked back at my photographs today, I got the feeling that I need to go back. I’d love to spend more time photographing wildlife.
Kruger National Park is one of the most amazing parks I have ever visited. I will recommend the Kruger National Park to anyone hoping to see a diverse and beautiful selection of wildlife.
The Kruger National Park will ALWAYS be in my HEART. I can’t wait to go back.
